Dakshinkali is a village that lies 20 Kilometers outside of Kathmandu. And it is one of the famous and most sacred Hindu places of worship. It was believed that Guru Rinpoche has attained enlightenment in the caves of Pharping during the 8th century. If you observe closely at the entrance of a cave you will see the handprint of the guru and legend has it that Padmasambhava attained supernatural power during his meditations and left an eternal handprint on the stone walls.
