Langsisa RI Peak (6,427 m) is another group “A” climbing peak, declared by Mountaineering Association of Nepal. It lies in one of the popular trekking destinations of Nepal, Langtang. This peak is situated at Jugal Himalayan range in the Langtang region, at Rasuwa District. Langsisa RI is again a technically challenging peak that requires physical fitness and skills or experience.
This trek offers stunning, breath-taking Himalayan views. The main attraction is the panoramic views of Langtang Lirung (7,246 m), Ganesh Himal (7,604 m), Dorje Lakpa (6,988 m), Shishapangma (8,035m), Naya Kanga (5744 m), Yala Peak (5,535 m), etc. The trip puts light on the Tamang culture, the Langtang valley. The Tibetan monasteries, pine forest, swift mountain streams, rugged rock and snowcapped peaks, yaks, grassy downs, and meadows stream with daises and wild animals are other attractions of the journey. And in the upper part of the Langtang valley there are snow ridges spanning angry torrents, high paths enveloped in mist tiny lakes of glaciated mountains. The starting point of this trek is Shyabru besi that leads to the Langtang valley. Then, from there Kyanjin Gompa is met. Later Langsisa Kharka is scaled on foot where usually the training session by professional climber takes place. This acts as the base camp, then after the trek to high camp, Langsisa Ri peak is scaled with guidance.
This trek can be done whole the year-round but the best season for climbing this peak is March to May and September to December. It is popular among hobby climbers and its accessible route follows to regular Langtang trekking region.
