Mera Peak (6,654 m.) is the highest trekking peak located in the Sagarmatha Zone. It is considered as an uncomplicated ascent. The first ascent to Mera Peak was made in 1953, May 20. Nowadays, trekkers sought after Mera Peak as it is technically a straightforward ascent. However, adjusting to the high altitude of Mera Peak becomes a challenge for some. From the Mera Peak, the splendid panorama of Makalu, Kanchanjunga, Cho Oyu and Everest can be seen.
The Amphu Laptsa Pass is a difficult pass in the Khumbu region. The old civilization, monasteries, and the welcoming Sherpa people of the region add on to the high Himalayas and assist in attracting tourists. The Amphu Laptsa trek borrows the features of a classic expedition.
The Lhotse, Nuptse, Cho Polu, Baruntse, Ama Dablam Dingboche adjoins the Chukung Valley from several directions. Chukung Valley is in the Rasuwa District of Nepal. Mt. Lhotse, Island Peak, Mt. Makalu, Mt. Ama Dablam and Mt. Baruntse are visible from Chukung valley.
