The best season to trek over Makalu Base Camp is in spring and autumn. The months from March-May and September-early December are our recommended time to do the trek in Makalu Base Camp. The trekking trail takes you to the elevation above 4,800 meters so, it doesn’t sound better to start trekking in winter. The route passes through several high passes, so it may be risky in monsoon.
