The Bokta Peak (6,143 m.) is located in the Kanchanjunga. Trek to the Bokta Peak is graded as much difficult and demanding one. So the trek demands a good health condition and experience too.
A vista of the Mt. Kanchanjunga (8,586 m.), Dhormo (6,850 m.), Kumbhakarna (7,710 m.), Nupchu (6,690 m.) and some other ranges can be enjoyed from the Bokta Peak. The first ascent to the Bokta Peak was made in 1991 by a Slovenian team.
The Yalung glacier (4,886 m.) that comes before the Bokta Peak is another beautiful place during this trek. From Yalung glacier, the south part of Mt. Kanchanjunga can be seen.
The traditional ethnic villages, awe-inspiring mountain views, and the remoteness of the trek make this Kanchanjunga region trek a magnificent one.
