Description

Annapurna I is the 10th highest peak in the world which has an altitude of about 8,091 meters. It is a series of peaks which is 55m long with the highest point, Annapurna I. It is located in a great setup which is at the east of a great canyon cutting through the Himalayas by Kali Gandaki River which separates Dhaulagiri and Annapurna. The Annapurnas are considered one of the most difficult and dangerous mountains to climb since they are much inclined to have avalanches and all the available routes are much difficult for climbers.

 

The Annapurna Expedition is a 53 days expedition. It takes about 32 days to climb up and down the summit from the north Annapurna Base Camp. And the rest of the days are spent walking the amazing and beautiful trails of the Annapurna region. We start at Nayapool and we follow the circuit trail and reach all the way to Lete. On the way, we enjoy the views from Ghorepani and Poon hill route. From Lete, we leave the area and head towards the west and reach the Annapurna North Base Camp. On the way, we pass through  Thulobugin, Hum Khola and Miristi Khola. There will be two high camps above the base camp. The summit will leave you breathtaking with the beautiful views contained in it. We use the same route to return until Tatopani where we will drive to Pokhara and then fly back to Kathmandu.

 

We provide full board services and personal tent and food, which will be prepared by the climbing Sherpa. Handheld radios and other communications tools on the mountain is provided for communicating. Climbing this mountain comes with different perks. The approach to Annapurna Base Camp is a spectacular bonus trek in which you will be seeing a number of sites like some of the extraordinary peaks including Dhaulagiri, Tukuche Peak, Nilgiri, Varaha Shikhar, Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Annapurna III, Machhapuchhre, Annapurna IV, Annapurna II, and Lamjung Himal. This trek passes through a number of places like Tatopani, Ghasa, Thulobogin, Thulobogin pass, and Mristi Khola. You can visit these places and have an entertaining moment.

Itineraries

You will arrive at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu and will be transferred to the hotel.

This day is also known as the preparation day where you rest and prepare for assignment and briefing.

We drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara which is about 914m. It takes about 6 hours to reach Pokhara. We stay at Pokhara in a hotel for the night.

On this day, we drive from Pokhara to Nayapool by car which takes about an hour and a half. After this, we begin our trek from Nayapool to Tikheldhunga which four and half hours.

We trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani which will take about six hours. We stay at Ghorepani for the night.

On this day, we trek from Ghorepani to Poonhill to Tatopani which will take time about five and a half hours. We take an early morning trip to Poonhill to enjoy the sunrise view of mountains like Mt. Tukuche Peak, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Annapurna Range, Machapuchre and other snow-peaked mountains. Then we travel to Tatopani and stay there for the night.

Today our destination will be Ghasa. To reach there, it will approximately take six hours. Overnight in a hotel of Ghasa.

On this day, we leave Ghasa in the morning and we trek to a place known as Lete where we will stay there for the night.

Today, our trekking starts early in the morning, we follow the trail and leave Lete. On the way, we can see the amazing landscapes and scenery of the mountains. Upon reaching the Thulobugin, we set our camp there and stay there for the night.

Today, we trek to Hum Khola from Thulobugin. We trek through the top ridge and reach Hum Khola. This will take about approximately six hours.

Today, we leave Hum Khola with its beautiful Lakeside beauty. So, our destination today will be Miristi Khola. We follow the trail along and reach Miristi Khola in about six hours. Overnight camp in there.

On this day, we will trek to Annapurna North Base Camp. There are supplies available in the base camp for further climbing and trekking. We prepare ourselves in the base camp for our next difficult task.

This is the climbing period for Annapurna. We slowly climb with our equipment in check. Day by day we slowly progress to Mt. Annapurna. The local Sherpa guides will be there to help us in our climb. Upon reaching the Mt. Annapurna you will be blessed with the beauty of the surroundings and it will be breathtaking for you to see these wonderful sights.

On this day, we will trek from base camp to Miristi Khola which will take about four and a half hours. We will stay in camp for the night.

We trek from Miristi Khola to Thulobigin which will take approximately six hours. Overnight in Thulobigin.

We trek from Thulobigin to Lete which will take about four hours. Overnight in Lete. The overall duration of this trek is four hours.

Today, we trek to Tatopani from Lete. It will take about four hours for this trek. We stay at a hotel in Tatopani for the night.

On this day, we trek from Tatopani to Beni. It will take approximately about five hours and then we drive to Pokhara about 80 km which will take about 2 hours. We stay at a lodge in Pokhara for the night.

Today, we drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu by tourist minibus. The overall duration for the drive will be about seven hours.

This is a leisure day for you from your long journey. You can rest or do some shopping in Kathmandu’s market.

You will be departed at Tribhuwan International Airport and bid farewell.
