Description

Annapurna is the 10th highest mountain in the world, standing at an elevation of 8,091 meters (26,545 feet). It is located in the Himalayas in north-central Nepal. Annapurna is known for its challenging climbing conditions and is considered one of the most dangerous peaks to climb among the 8000-meter peaks.

Itineraries

Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel. Meet the expedition team for a briefing and gear check. Explore the vibrant city and prepare for the journey ahead.

Enjoy a scenic drive to Pokhara, the gateway to the Annapurna region. Stroll around the beautiful Phewa Lake and savor the stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

Start with a short drive to Nayapul and begin trekking through lush forests and traditional villages. Overnight at Tikhedhunga, experiencing the local hospitality.

Ascend the stone steps to Ulleri and continue through rhododendron forests. Reach Ghorepani, a charming village with breathtaking views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.

Early morning hike to Poon Hill for a spectacular sunrise view of the Himalayas. Descend to Ghorepani for breakfast and continue trekking through forests to Tadapani.

Descend through dense forests and cross the Kimrong Khola. Climb to Chhomrong, a beautiful Gurung village with majestic views of Annapurna South and Machapuchare.

Trek through lush bamboo and rhododendron forests. Cross several small streams and ascend gradually to reach Dovan, surrounded by serene natural beauty.

Continue through dense forests, with views of the towering peaks. Climb steeply to Deurali, located at the foot of the Annapurna Sanctuary, for a well-deserved rest.

Enter the Annapurna Sanctuary and witness the grandeur of the surrounding peaks. Arrive at Annapurna Base Camp, where you’ll be surrounded by a 360-degree panorama of the Himalayas.

Enjoy the sunrise at Base Camp and explore the surrounding glacier basin. Descend back to Bamboo, retracing your steps through the picturesque landscape.

Descend through the lush forest to Chhomrong and continue to Jhinu Danda. Relax in the natural hot springs and soothe your tired muscles.

Trek through beautiful villages and terraced fields to Nayapul. Drive back to Pokhara and enjoy a free evening exploring the lakeside city.

Return to Kathmandu by road, taking in the scenic landscapes. Spend your last evening in the capital, shopping for souvenirs or exploring the historic sites.

Transfer to the airport for your onward journey. Reflect on the unforgettable experience of the Annapurna Expedition South as you bid farewell to Nepal.
